Osteopractic therapy is a post-doctoral diploma with specialty training in neuromusculoskeletal dry needling, spinal manipulation, differential diagnosis, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and other specialized treatment instruction. This training allows for specialized treatment and management of common, complex, and chronic injuries that limit the ability to enjoy movement and function in our daily lives.

Tyler was raised in Great Falls, Montana, with an interest in wildlife and biology. His athletic and academic dreams led him to the University of Montana, where he played football for the Griz, and pursued a degree in Biology. An interest in physical therapy grew after many hours of rehabilitation and several surgeries during his playing career, so he completed the DPT program at the University of Montana in 2013. Tyler’s mother, Joy, was also a physical therapist in Great Falls.

Tyler always wanted to live in the Flathead, and be closer to the majority of his extended family, who have been in the valley for over a century. He pursued a Diploma in Osteopractic therapy from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. The training included certifications in dry needling and spinal manipulation, as well as training in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and differential diagnosis. This skill set helped him treat a wide variety of complex injuries ranging from cervicogenic dizziness, headaches, and TMJ, to spine radiculopathy and chronic sports injuries.

After 10 years of treating patients with Professional Therapy Associates, and Whitefish Therapy and Sport Center, Tyler decided to start his own practice at Elevate Wellness. His goal is to provide the best, one-on-one care in the area, with the premium skill set and experience to help his clients heal their acute, complex and nagging injuries.

Tyler and his wife Jamie welcomed their first child, Cooper, this past year. Jamie is a Nurse Practitioner, working for Logan Health Primary Care in Kalispell. You can find Tyler and Jamie on a hiking trail, at the lake, or recreating with their two Labrador retrievers.
